Which players from the Minnesota Vikings offense and defense deserve recognition for their efforts in Week 14 against the Detroit Lions on Dec. 8.
With only four games left in the regular season, the Minnesota Vikings were in an odd place. Trailing to the Packers in the NFC North, the purple and gold were looking to not only keep pace with Green Bay but get some distance from other teams looking to grab a Wild Card spot in the NFC.
Their opponent in Week 14 was the Detroit Lions, a disappointing team who lost their starting quarterback and hasn’t been the same since. Already mathematically eliminated from earning a playoff spot, they were playing for their pride (pun intended).
Detroit came out flat and never really got going against the Vikings. They couldn’t move the ball well and defensively they gave up plays that allowed Minnesota to play with the lead during the entire contest.
The final score of the game was 20-7 in favor of the Minnesota Vikings, moving them to 9-4 on the season and keeping the team undefeated at U.S. Bank Stadium this season. But who helped the most in getting to that point? Here are the MVPs from Week 14!
