The Minnesota Vikings are in a great position to get into the playoffs in a tough NFC. What are three issues that could keep the team from advancing deep this year?

After 14 weeks, the Minnesota Vikings are currently sitting with a 9-4 record, trailing the NFC North lead by a game, and leading the NFC wild-card race by a game.

The Vikings do have a couple of teams breathing down their necks for that final playoff spot in the NFC, but with two out of their next three games at home, the odds are very much in their favor that they’ll return to playoffs this season.

If Minnesota does get into the big dance this year, how far can they advance? Their roster is definitely talented enough to make a deep run and hang in there with the best teams in the league.

Their quarterback is red hot, they have a very strong running attack, and their defense is coached by one of the best in the game in Mike Zimmer who can come up with exotic looks and packages that can confuse even the most experienced quarterbacks.

That being said, this Vikings team may not be as balanced as the 2017 squad that made a deep run in the postseason. They are better in some areas, but also worse in others.

So what are three things that could prevent Minnesota from making a deep playoff run this year?.
