The rosters for the 2020 Pro Bowl have been announced and some members of the Minnesota Vikings were chosen to represent the NFC in the all-star game!

Making the Pro Bowl is quite an honor. Getting an outpouring of support from fans as well as respect from their peers and coaches can mean a lot to an individual player. For the 2020 Pro Bowl, there are several players for the Minnesota Vikings who are deserving of the honor.

The rosters for the NFL’s version of an all-star team were released on the night of Tuesday, Dec. 17 and, as expected, some players from the purple and gold were included as part of the NFC’s team.

Here are the players who made the squad according to the official Twitter account of Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling and are invited to play in Orlando, Florida on Jan. 26, 2020:

Dalvin Cook, running back

An essential part of the team’s offense, Dalvin Cook has shown the ability to be a game-changing player with the ball in his hands. Whether he is running the ball or catching it out of the backfield, his combination of agility, acceleration, vision, and top speed make him one of the most exciting players in the league to watch.

Danielle Hunter, defensive end

When it comes to pass rushers in the NFL, few (if any) do it better than Danielle Hunter. The young Vikings defender is tied for third in sacks with 13.5 (first among defensive ends) through 15 weeks and looks to build on those numbers against two division foes in the team’s last games of the regular season.

Harrison Smith, safety

Nobody is more of a model of consistency for Minnesota than Harrison Smith. The defensive back is regularly an impact player in coverage, run support, or rushing the passer, making him a joker in the defense that opposing teams have an exceptionally hard time game-planning for. It is hard to imagine discussing the NFL’s elite safeties without mentioning him.

Congratulations to all the Minnesota Vikings players who made the 2020 Pro Bowl. More players could be added as alternates as the playoff picture unfolds. Hopefully, alternates will be needed for every member of the purple and gold named to the Pro Bowl because they will be busy that weekend.
