The worst thing – The kitchen is closed
The success of the Minnesota Vikings offense this season has been due to a great blend of a strong rushing attack and an efficient passing game. Sadly, that balance is sure to take a bit of a hit…at least for the next few weeks.
During the game against the Chargers, Dalvin Cook struggled to get going, only gaining 27 yards on nine carries. However, he didn’t get a chance to expand on those numbers because he left the game with what looked like a shoulder injury.
If the purple and gold have to be without the playmaking ability of Cook as well as the bruising running of Mattison, that puts a lot of pressure on the offensive line and the duo of Mike Boone and Ameer Abdullah, who held up fairly well against the Chargers.
Let’s just hope that both the injury to Cook and whatever kept Mattison sidelined for Week 15 heal completely and quickly so the Vikings have as many of their talented players available for their final run at the playoffs and hopefully deep into the postseason.
