The Minnesota Vikings routed the Los Angeles Chargers 39-10 on Sunday. How did the Vikings rookies perform in their win over the Chargers?

The Minnesota Vikings traveled far to the west in Week 15 and came out with a big victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Vikings defense forced seven turnovers and the Purple ended up blowing out the Chargers on their home field. During the victory, Minnesota’s rookies made some big plays for the team.

How did all of the Vikings rookies fare on Sunday and who is the one player that deserves to take home the Rookie of the Week award?

Minnesota was without star rookie running back Alexander Mattison this week as he sat out the matchup with an ankle injury. It’s too bad for Mattison too, because Dalvin Cook missed the majority of the second half with a shoulder injury and the rookie would’ve seen an extended workload.

So we’ll start with center Garrett Bradbury. He and Kirk Cousins did have a couple of muffed exchanges, but after looking at the replay there didn’t appear to be anything wrong with the snap itself. Also, Bradbury was playing with an injured hand that he apparently cut and had to have stitched up during the game.

Even with that injury, the rookie center and the rest of the Vikings offensive line kept Cousins clean in the pocket as he didn’t take a single sack all game. Minnesota’s running game went over 100 yards too, which was impressive considering how stout the Chargers defense has been against the run in recent weeks. Overall, it was a very solid performance for the Vikings’ 2019 first-rounder.
