New Orleans Saints (11-3) at Tennessee Titans (8-6)

  • Time: 12 p.m. CT, Sunday
  • Line: Saints by 1.5 points
  • Playoff Position: New Orleans – 3rd, Tennessee – 7th (AFC)

Much like our first game, the Saints-Titans matchup on Sunday represents a team jockeying for position and a team trying to make the playoffs. Fortunately, this one won’t impact whether the Minnesota Vikings get into the playoffs, but should make for an interesting game to see where they could wind up playing should they get in.

The Saints are coming off a surgical dismantling of the Indianapolis Colts last week but will head on the road to take on a tricky Titans defense. While Tennessee always seems to generate a “Smashville” style of game at home, New Orleans should have an advantage with Adoree’ Jackson already ruled out.

This should mean good things for both Drew Brees and Michael Thomas as they look to establish a revenge tour after falling to the 49ers at home in Week 14. Add in a fourth-ranked rushing defense that will look to bottle up a red-hot Derrick Henry, who is averaging 6.4 yards per carry in his past five games despite nursing a hamstring injury, and the Saints should have a great chance of coming out of Tennessee with a win.
