Oklahoma Defensive Prospects

The Vikings could also look at some Oklahoma defenders in the first round in 2020. It is rare that we talk up the Oklahoma defense, but they have some absolute stars on their defense.

Nose tackle Neville Gallimore is one of the top interior defensive linemen in the class. The 6-foot-2, 302-pound tackle would add some size up front and take some pressure off of Linval Joseph. If Minnesota decides they want to move on from Joseph, they could even look at Gallimore as their starter.

Joseph will turn 32 next season and he will be due nearly $13 million in 2020. With a dead cap of just under $2.5 million, it may be time for the Vikings to move on from Joseph and get younger up front.

Sooners linebacker Kenneth Murray is one of the most exciting players in the country to watch. He does it all for the Oklahoma defense.

Murray led the team with 95 tackles and 16.0 TFLs to go along with four sacks and four pass breakups. His closing speed and ability to crush a ball-carrier will make some team very happy. Minnesota already has two dominant linebackers under contract for the foreseeable future, but Murray would make for a fun addition.

One sleeper name to watch is cornerback Parnell Motley. Motley has started for three seasons and has six career interceptions. He also has 31 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and seven sacks. He could be a nice depth piece later in the draft if the Vikings want to take that route.
