The worst thing – Quite the snoozer

It’s still hard to ignore the fact that this game between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears was actually a Week 17 game. It felt significantly more like a preseason contest for several reasons fans likely noticed while watching.

First, the lack of star power for Minnesota was obvious. It’s hard not to feel bad for fans who bought tickets to this game thinking they might be getting a game that could decide the NFC North. Instead, they got a mostly meaningless game against a division opponent.

Not only that but Minnesota got a taste of what the Vikings would be like without key players. Over the years, the Vikings have accumulated quite a bit of talent on their roster and seeing all of them on the sideline was painful to watch as this low-scoring game went on.

This game is exactly what Vikings fans hate. A game without their favorite players at a time when the team should be playing for momentum and positioning instead gave viewers a reason to find something else to occupy them with the game in the background.
