With a new year comes an opportunity for the Minnesota Vikings to improve. As they head back into the playoffs, what can the Vikings do to be better in 2020?

As the confetti and empty champagne bottles have been cleared off of the floor, we have officially reached the year of 2020. For many of us, we’ll make resolutions that will be ditched in a week and while you’re probably trying to slog out a 20-minute death session on the treadmill as you’re reading this, the main objective we all seek is to simply be a better version of ourselves in the new year.

The Minnesota Vikings should be no exception to this train of thought. The Vikings are in a much better spot than they were a year ago when they missed the playoffs and entered an offseason with plenty of question marks.

Now with an opportunity with a playoff run at their feet, the Vikings can make amends and potentially run through an NFC playoff field that is evenly matched.

To do so, Minnesota will need to take a good look at themselves and figure out what they can do to improve. Part of that process took place with a de facto bye week in Week 17 and with many of their players rested up, this should be a Vikings team at full strength both physically and mentally.

So what does Minnesota need to do in the new year to make a long playoff run a reality? We came up with a list of New Year’s resolutions for Mike Zimmer’s squad to try and find out.
