Luckily, the Vikings did earn a spot in the playoffs as the sixth seed in the NFC and they will take on the New Orleans Saints in the wild-card round on Sunday.
It has been a long season with plenty of ups and downs for the Purple. Some positions have proven to be deeper and stronger than others. Some players have gotten better, while others have declined.
With the 2020 NFL Draft just over three months away, it’s time to start thinking about what areas Minnesota will address and how early they will address them.
The Vikings have a lot of players who are going to hit free agency this offseason and that will push certain positions up the old need list. Minnesota is also going to be cash strapped once again, so most of the help they will be getting for the 2020 season will likely come from the draft.
