Raheem Mostert – RB

Before the 2019 season, Raheem Mostert had a total of 48 touches since he entered the NFL back in 2015. But for the past three years, Mostert has been with the 49ers and this season has seen him become an important part of their offense.

He appeared in all 16 games for San Francisco this year and despite not being a starter in any of them, he still managed to accumulate 952 total yards (772 rushing and 180 receiving) and 10 touchdowns on 151 touches.

Of Mostert’s 10 trips to the end zone this season, eight of them were on the ground and six of these scores came when the 49ers snapped the ball inside the red zone.

He and fellow San Francisco running back Matt Breida have benefitted greatly from the team’s excellent run blocking this year. Mostert and Breida both averaged more yards before contact on each carry this season than any other running back in the NFL.

This year, the Vikings defense is the second-best in the league when it’s come to preventing touchdowns in the red zone and they also finished with the second-fewest missed tackles. If Minnesota can continue to do these two things well, they’ll have a good shot at preventing Mostert from being a factor on Saturday.
