For the second straight week, the Minnesota Vikings will attempt to do the unthinkable and defeat the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers in an NFC playoff showdown.

Two more wins separate the Minnesota Vikings from earning a spot in the Super Bowl for the first time since 1976. That’s it, just two.

First, the Vikings will have to go out and beat another NFC powerhouse on the road when they take on the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday. The 49ers finished the regular season as the top seed in the NFC and defeating them will be no easy task for Minnesota.

But just as they proved against the New Orleans Saints last week, the Vikings have the talent to beat any team in the NFL. So as good as San Francisco has been this year, Minnesota isn’t about to go down without a fight on Saturday either.

With the 49ers being the No. 1 seed and the Vikings being the No. 6 seed in the conference, it’s not surprising that most believe it will be San Francisco walking out of this matchup with a win. While this may be the belief of the majority, there are still plenty of reasons to think that Minnesota still has a shot to leave the Bay Area with a victory on Saturday.
