8. Rashod Hill, offensive tackle

At the time of this writing, the Minnesota Vikings have a massive need to improve the left side of their offensive line. The team could look to save some money by releasing offensive tackle Riley Reiff and looking into the NFL Draft, but then they’d have almost no veteran depth at the position.

Minnesota could feel a little safer if they retained Rashod Hill, a swing tackle who opens up possibilities for the NFL Draft. Hill shouldn’t be thought of as a valid option for the team’s starting left tackle, but he could provide competition for early-round draft picks.

If the Vikings retain Reiff, Hill could find himself on his way out of Minnesota in hopes of finding a young, inexpensive swing tackle for the 2020 NFL season and beyond. It will be an extremely tough decision for Minnesota, who need to provide Kirk Cousins and the run game with more support.

Disappointing play from Reiff, Pat Elflein, and Garrett Bradbury all will give priority to the offseason. There are hopes those players will either rebound or develop into solid starters, but the team should at least get some competition at each spot.
