7. Andrew Sendejo, safety

As stated earlier, it appears as though Jayron Kearse’s time with the Minnesota Vikings is over. In addition, Anthony Harris is an unrestricted free agent who is likely to earn a big payday this offseason, putting his position with the team in jeopardy.

For the right price, Minnesota could retain their former starting safety for a discount to pair with Harrison Smith if they are unable to bring back Harris. Then, they can look to the draft to fill out the position and have competition for Andrew Sendejo during training camp and the preseason.

Andrew Sendejo also got his feet wet as a nickel corner during the playoffs, doing an excellent job against the New Orleans Saints but struggling a bit against the San Francisco 49ers. If he can perform both roles, that only adds to his value on the roster.

When you factor in his great effort and versatility on special teams, this almost seems like a no-brainer to bring Sendejo back to the Vikings. If nothing else, they’d have a solid backup/rotational player to contribute on special teams.
