Which Minnesota Vikings free agents should be a priority to re-sign?

6. Dan Bailey, kicker

It may be a bit surprising to see Dan Bailey this low on the list, but the Minnesota Vikings might be trying to save some money as well as get younger on special teams. However, throwing away the consistency from having him on the roster.

Seeing the struggles Minnesota had with their kicking over the years, it would be tough to put faith in a new kicker. However, last year saw Bailey make $2 million and if he were to return for approximately that cost, bringing him back would be wise.

Fan reaction to drafting another kicker or getting a new one in free agency would be…interesting to say the best. Having a kicker you can trust to make a clutch kick in big games can make the difference between a win and a loss.

Bailey is still young. At 32 years old, he still has a lot of career left if he chooses to continue playing. He seems to enjoy playing in Minnesota and hopefully the two parties can find a way to come to terms on a deal to keep him around.
