C.J. Ham to represent Vikings at 2020 Pro Bowl as replacement fullback

More purple and gold will be on the field during the 2020 Pro Bowl on Jan. 26 as Minnesota Vikings fullback C.J. Ham has been named as a replacement.
Now that the two teams who will take part in Super Bowl LIV have been determined, alterations have been made to the 2020 Pro Bowl roster to fill the holes created by the players from the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. One of those spots will be filled by a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
Since fullback Kyle Juszczyk will be unable to participate in the NFL’s version of an all-star game, a replacement is needed to fill that role on the NFC’s roster and that individual’s identity was recently revealed.
According to sports agent Blake Baratz at IFA, C.J. Ham will be filling the gap left by Juszczyk’s absence. Here is his tweet announcing the news:
Ham will join running back Dalvin Cook, defensive end Danielle Hunter, and safety Harrison Smith on the NFC’s 2020 Pro Bowl roster, bringing the total number players from the Minnesota Vikings in the game to four.
The Vikings fullback was a key blocker for Dalvin Cook this season, leading the way on a large number of the team’s rushing attempts. Ham ran the ball seven times for 17 yards while adding 149 yards on 17 catches, scoring once through the air.
Surprisingly, Ham was on the field a lot for Minnesota. He played on 354 offensive snaps for the Vikings as well as 232 special teams plays, meaning he was participating in 586 total snaps according to Pro Football Reference.
It would be blasphemy not to mention the massive Pro Bowl snub that is Eric Kendricks. It’s still shocking that the linebacker didn’t make the cut despite being named First Team All-Pro for his efforts this year.
Congratulations go out to C.J. Ham for being named the replacement fullback for the 2020 Pro Bowl to represent the NFC. It’s always great to see players from the Minnesota Vikings get some recognition for their efforts. You can watch the Pro Bowl on Jan. 26, 2020 on ESPN/ABC.
