Experience

With almost 25 years of coaching experience, Kubiak has seen it all and he can call on this during his latest foray into coordinating an offense in the NFL.

This is his third time being an offensive coordinator and there is no doubt that he is extremely well thought of by Vikings players and coaches alike, something that is another massive positive going into what is expected to be a crossroads season for the franchise.

This is reciprocated by Kubiak, who shared earlier this season just how much he enjoyed his first year with the organization.

"“I go home a little earlier than I used to, but I really have enjoyed myself. It’s keeping me young as a coach. Coach-speak, I should say, it’s keeping me young. I go on the field, I love working with young players. I’m actually running the scout team for the offense, I do that. I love working with those young guys.”"

He has quietly gone about his business, which seems to have rejuvenated him after a second spell at the helm of the Denver Broncos did not go according to plan. It is clear from the advice Kubiak has given Minnesota during the 2019 season that he has plenty more still to offer despite being in the twilight of his coaching career.

While other teams are looking for a younger coordinator with fresh ideas and a more innovative way of calling plays, the Vikings have rightfully opted for a trusted figure within the franchise who has the know-how to cope with any situation and a proven track record of achievements at the very highest level.
