With the news of him opting out of his contract with the Minnesota Vikings, where might the veteran defensive end land this offseason?

For the last six seasons, Everson Griffen has been a staple for the Minnesota Vikings on the defensive side of the ball.

Griffen was given the opportunity to be a starter in 2014 and he’s taken that opportunity to evolve into one of the best defensive ends in the entire NFL. With his help, the Vikings defense has also been able to transform into one of the best units in the league.

On Thursday, it was revealed that Griffen has reportedly decided to void the remainder of his deal with Minnesota. This decision by the veteran pass rusher will make him a free agent this year and there’s a chance that his time with the Vikings might have already come to an end.

Despite Griffen voiding his contract, most still believe he will remain with Minnesota for the 2020 season. But if a new deal is unable to be reached with the Vikings for some reason, he should have plenty of interest from other teams around the NFL this year.

So if Griffen actually doesn’t end up re-signing with Minnesota this offseason, who are some of the teams from around the league he could land with?
