The Minnesota Vikings currently do not have a kicker locked down for the 2020 NFL season, so which free agents could fill the role for them?

There aren’t a lot of things scarier to fans of the Minnesota Vikings than going into a season being unsure about one of the most frustrating positions in franchise history; the kicker. For years, the kicking game has been a thorn in the side of the purple and gold and that is something the team seemed to have figured out in 2019.

Sadly, Dan Bailey is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason and it appears as though the Vikings could be looking to free agency to find the next individual to handle field goals, extra points, and kickoffs for 2020.

There is also the chance Minnesota will look to the 2020 NFL Draft or an undrafted free agent to fill the position. But history has shown that rolling the dice on a rookie can lead to terrifying results.

Let’s take a look at six kickers who are set to become unrestricted free agents this year and how they would fit into the special teams unit of the Vikings for the 2020 NFL season starting with a familiar face.
