The head coach and general manager of the Minnesota Vikings are both scheduled to meet with reporters at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine.

There hasn’t been a ton going on with the Minnesota Vikings so far this offseason. The team has made some changes to their coaching staff and this has really been the most exciting part of anything they’ve done during the last few weeks.

Despite the lack of excitement for the Vikings this offseason, there will be plenty of questions to ask head coach Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman when they speak to the media during this week’s NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Zimmer and Spielman take questions from the media each year at the Combine and this year it won’t be any different.

Minnesota’s general manager will kick things off on Tuesday when he takes the podium at 10:30 a.m. CT. Zimmer will then get his turn to speak on Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. CT.

One can imagine these two will be getting a lot of questions that not only have to do with the Vikings’ plans for this year’s NFL Draft, but what the team’s roster might look like at the beginning of next season.

There’s a chance that either Spielman or Zimmer can put to bed the rumors of Minnesota looking to trade star receiver Stefon Diggs this year. If they choose not to comment on the topic, it will only continue to stir the pot.

They might also get questions on Kirk Cousins’ future with the Vikings, if the team has begun extension discussions with Dalvin Cook, and the chances of Everson Griffen returning to the Twin Cities for next season.

Zimmer and Spielman don’t meet with the media very often during the offseason, so this is an opportunity for people to find out as much as they can about what Minnesota is considering when it comes to building their roster for 2020.

There are a bunch of unknowns regarding what the Vikings will look like when they take the field for their first game next season. Hopefully, Zimmer and Spielman will be able to provide a little more insight at the Combine on what might be in the works.
