Michael Schofield

Michael Schofield is another right guard that would necessitate more moving across the offensive line. But he could be good enough thanks to his pass-protection skills and some above-average athletic traits.

MockDraftable wasn’t too kind about the 29-year-old, who will turn 30 next November. But he did post elite times in both the 40-yard dash (91st percentile) and 10-yard split (85th percentile) while also performing well in the 3-cone drill (73rd percentile) and 20-yard shuttle (83rd percentile).

While there are flaws in his game, Schofield has been able to perform well in pass blocking, allowing 26 pressures on 688 pass-blocking attempts according to Pro Football Focus. That would be better than what Pat Elflein was able to do last season for the Vikings and Schofield could at least be brought in to provide competition at either guard spot.

If Minnesota can get him at the right price, he wouldn’t be a horrible guy to bring in to fight for a roster spot this year.
