5 teams Anthony Harris might sign with for the 2020 season
By Nik Edlund
Including the Minnesota Vikings, what five teams could free-agent safety Anthony Harris end up with for the 2020 season?
This offseason, the Minnesota Vikings were believed by many to make re-signing Anthony Harris their top priority. Harris was one of the best safeties in the NFL the last season as he tied for the league lead led in interceptions.
However, Minnesota head coach Mike Zimmer recently poured some cold water on Harris’ potential return to the Twin Cities.
When speaking with reporters at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, Zimmer said “I love Anthony. If he doesn’t come back, I think he’s earned everything he’s got, but if you put up the positions most important on defense, it’s probably not going to be safety.”
This is not exactly a ringing endorsement for the free-agent safety from the Vikings head coach.
If Zimmer truly believes the safety position in his defense isn’t worth the money Harris has earned and will be looking for this offseason, then it’s a good bet we’ve already seen his last game in purple.
So what are five potential landing spots for Harris when the 2020 free agency period starts this March?
