Washington Redskins

The Redskins are a talent devoid team that has needs all over the place. They also have plenty of cap space to work with this offseason and they certainly have the funds to meet what Anthony Harris will be wanting on the free-agent market.

If Harris were to sign with Washington, it would be a bit of a homecoming for him since he was born in Richmond, Virginia which is just a two-hour drive away.

He’d get to play in front of all his friends and family for every home game. That would certainly be a positive, and one reason why the Redskins could be a preferred landing spot for him.

Harris would also be paired with another great safety in Landon Collins. Collins is a big hitter who loves playing near the line of scrimmage to attack running backs and pressure quarterbacks.

He’d pair well with Harris who has great range and is excellent in coverage. Their pairing would form one of the best safety duos in the entire NFL. He’d also get to play for the Redskins’ new head coach Ron Rivera, which most players seem to enjoy very much.

The downside for Harris would be joining a team that is in the middle of a rebuild. Washington did have an excellent draft last year and they could be closer to competing than many believe. Adding a talented safety likeHarris to their secondary would definitely expedite their return to prominence.
