Jordan Love – QB (Utah State)
Eventually, the Vikings will have look for a successor for quarterback Kirk Cousins and Jordan Love could fit the bill.
The California native is a highly-touted prospect that is expected to be drafted in the second tier of quarterbacks after the fancied trio of Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, and Tua Tagovailoa are off the board. Love has a lot of likable elements to his game that could make him a success in the NFL.
The NFL Scouting Combine and his subsequent Pro Day will be crucial for the Utah State product after an up and down 2019 season that saw him throw 20 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. His inconsistent play is almost negated by the outstanding film Love correlated during his first two years at the school.
Love has nice arm strength and he has the ability to make things happen with outstanding movement. His decision-making came into question during last season, but there is still plenty to admire about his game.
Love is a hit or miss prospect at this point and he would benefit enormously from playing second fiddle to a seasoned veteran during his rookie year. This makes the situation in Minnesota ideal as Cousins is heading into the final season of his $84 million deal with no new contract currently on the horizon.
