7 prospects for the Vikings to watch on Day 3 at the 2020 Combine
By Dean Jones

Marlon Davidson – DE (Auburn)
Another defensive lineman to watch closely at the 2020 NFL Combine is Auburn standout Marlon Davidson. Even though he does not possess an elite skill-set, Davidson is a hard worker who has all the intangibles to go a long way in the NFL.
He recorded 6.5 sacks, 48 tackles, and one forced fumble in 2019 for the Tigers and he played at a consistent level that is going to make his transition to the pros much easier. Davidson has improved his strength off the block significantly and that has resulted in huge improvements on the field.
Davidson has superb hands and he can also operate as an outside linebacker if called upon. He is going to test well at the Combine and he will be an impressive interviewer in front of scouts.
The Vikings may be in the market for another pass-rusher with the status of Everson Griffen being uncertain. Having someone like Davidson as a situational pass-rusher to put with others on their roster will be an option worth considering.
Davidson’s impact on special teams is another notable element of his game. He notched a host of blocked kicks during the 2018 season thanks to his flawless technique that will require minimal coaching to improve.
