Grant Delpit – S (LSU)

Grant Delpit is a National Champion who will be looking to take this momentum into the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine.

The standout LSU Safety enjoyed a tremendous final season with the Tigers to further enhance his reputation as one of the brightest prospects in the country. Delpit notched 65 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, and seven pass breakups during his 2019 campaign.

He showed substantial improvement in his third year after being exposed on numerous occasions as a sophomore. Delpit learned quickly and has the length to be real difference-maker on the back end.

The talented defender can perform well at both safety positions and although it would be beneficial for him to add some muscle mass, he has everything a team looks for in a safety at the next level.

Delpit is a hard-worker who was very consistent in college. He also has the right blend of size, speed, and athleticism that is going to make him one of the standout performers at the Combine.

The safety is also more than capable of making an impact near the line of scrimmage as a run defender, something Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer loves to utilize.

This makes him an enticing proposition for Minnesota if a spot opens following the potential departure of Anthony Harris. Delpit is a high-character individual who would be a tremendous addition to the Vikings locker room.
