The Minnesota Vikings will be shopping for a new return man this offseason. Who are some free-agent options they could kick the tires on?

The Minnesota Vikings handled their kick and punt returner roles very questionably a season ago. After Marcus Sherels signed with the New Orleans Saints in free agency, the Vikings went with a rotation at the position.

All throughout mini-camps and the preseason Minnesota kept trying new guys at the position with very little success. They eventually settled on a combination of Ameer AbdullahChad Beebe, and Mike Hughes as their primary return men.

Beebe got hurt early last season and that led the Vikings to bring back Sherels who had since been released by the Saints. Once Hughes was fully healthy and ready to return from his torn ACL, Minnesota gave him the job and let Sherels walk. Then after Hughes suffered another injury, they brought Sherels back for the playoffs.

The Vikings need to not go through that merry go round again and settle on both a kick and punt returner before the first day of OTAs this year. Minnesota could decide to go with a rookie for these jobs, but they could also bring in a veteran with experience and success in the return game. Who are a few free-agent returners the Vikings could look to sign this offseason?
