Jordan Love has generated a lot of buzz after an exceptional 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, which may have put him out of reach for the Minnesota Vikings.

There has been plenty of talk surrounding quarterback prospect Jordan Love this year and he recently generated even more buzz after a superb showing at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine.

The former Utah State standout might have had a down year in 2019 by his high standards, but that has not prevented him from flying up draft boards thanks to his outstanding ability.

Love is projected to be a first-round pick and some draft experts even have him going in the top 10. If the Minnesota Vikings were thinking of taking Love this year as a potential replacement for Kirk Cousins, then that chance might have vanished after the Combine.

Love has drawn comparisons to Patrick Mahomes thanks to his tremendous passing range. The NFL is a copycat league, so there will be plenty taking a keen interest in the young quarterback in the hope of securing something similar to the recent success of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Vikings have plenty of priorities elsewhere and they will likely not want to give up capital to trade up for someone that is not going to contribute right away. Love might be the next big thing in terms of buzz following his performance at the Combine, but that does not mean he’ll experience instant success in the NFL.

He is an intriguing prospect that has the potential to be a difference-maker and the face of a franchise. But this will only further hamper Minnesota’s chances of landing the talented prospect in this year’s draft.
