Love’s performance at the 2020 Combine

Jordan Love’s showing at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine was nothing short of sensational and it boosted his draft prospects tremendously.

He tested very well for a quarterback in drills. But it was his throwing performance on the field that really caught the eyes of many and left scouts salivating at the prospect of drafting the young signal-caller.

Love has a cannon for an arm and he can make every conceivable throw. This is something that is highly sought after in today’s NFL.

He demonstrates a fantastic pocket presence and he is also quick enough to move around to give himself additional time to go through his progressions. There is nothing that Love cannot do with the football in his hands and these skills are sure to make a successful transition to the next level.

At the Combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.74 seconds and his time in the 3-cone drill clocked in at 7.21 seconds. This demonstrated Love’s agility that is going to come in very handy in the NFL.

There are plenty of teams who will be on the lookout for a quarterback either in free agency or the NFL Draft this year. If a team has already fallen in love with him, then the former Utah State passer is going to probably be selected high in the draft. Some are now even predicting he might even be drafted ahead of Oregon product Justin Herbert.

This would have seemed inconceivable this time last year, which is just a testament to how well Love has come across during the evaluation process.
