7 underrated free agents the Vikings could sign in 2020

Jalen Mills – DB
Jalen Mills had a poor season by his standards with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019. This could have been due to his recovery from a foot injury that kept him on their sidelines for two months.
Players tend to take their time getting back to their best with an injury of this nature. This could mean the Vikings are willing to take a flyer on a player like Mills who still possesses a huge amount of potential.
Mills is versatile and can operate at either the cornerback or safety positions. He recorded 41 tackles, seven pass breakups, and an interception during nine games with Philadelphia last season.
The 25-year-old is young enough to still improve further with the right fit and this makes him an enticing proposition for any team looking for secondary depth. Minnesota has plenty of questions to answer in this area and they may see Mills as an ideal fit.
He has four seasons of experience, but Mills suffered his fair share of frustrations from a health perspective in 2018 and 2019. Providing these problems are behind him, then there is a potential for the Vikings to acquire a potential starter at a bargain price.
A long-term deal might be out of the question for Mills due to his problems staying on the field. This could mean somewhere in the region of two years and $5 million might be enough for Minnesota to get a deal done.
