4 free-agent punters the Vikings could sign in 2020

Lachlan Edwards
The youngest option of the group, former Australian footballer and multi-sport athlete Lachlan Edwards could be an interesting choice for the Vikings at punter if they decide to bring a new face into the mix.
Edwards was a middle-of-the-road punter last season, ending up ranking 15th among punters with an average of 45.9 yards per attempt. While that won’t ensure him a contract, after four years with the New York Jets, he’s proven himself to be capable enough to be worthy of an opportunity.
Another benefit of Minnesota signing Edwards is that he could be a low-budget addition. Unlike all the other punters on this list, he could probably be signed for the league minimum. This would make him the least expensive player on this list.
He could take over as holder for the Vikings as well. However, considering the absolute mess the Jets have been dealing with in their kicking game, odds are that the holding of Edwards will come under close scrutiny before any kind of deal is reached with an NFL team.
Will Minnesota be able to bring back Britton Colquitt for the 2020 season? Or should they look to free agency or the draft to replace last year’s punter/holder? Only time will tell what the future holds at the position for the Vikings.
