Trey Adams – OT (Washington)

Trey Adams arguably had the worst Combine of any player in Indianapolis. He already was speckled with red flags due to his lengthy injury history, and then in drills, Adams just looked out of shape. He was sporting a good-sized gut, and his arms and lower body lacked any visible sign of muscle definition.

His workouts were among the worst at the Combine. He was so slow in the forty-yard dash that Rich Eisen almost beat him. He was also bringing up the rear in the rest of the testing. At least he was open and honest in his interviews with teams but overall, this guy didn’t help his stock at the Combine.

The Vikings took some time and met with Adams and it does make sense. They need a young left tackle of the future with Riley Reiff nearing the end of his time with the team. Adams was once seen as a top-flight left tackle prospect before suffering knee and back injuries. The Minnesota Vikings were wise to have their doctors take a close look at him. If they don’t see any chronic issues with his injuries they could give him a medical clearance.

With his lengthy injury history and poor workout, he should fall to the third day of the Draft. If he does and the Vikings like him enough, they could take him and potentially have a steal on their hands if he can regain his form prior to suffering those maladies.
