Trade Diggs

We know, we know, the Vikings have already said that there is no reason for them to trade Stefon Diggs before the start of next season. However, don’t believe for a second that Minnesota wouldn’t consider dealing their talented receiver if the right offer came along.

The Vikings are entering an offseason that is going to feature a number of changes, especially on the defensive side of the ball. If Minnesota can acquire another first-round draft pick in addition to freeing up more than $5 million by trading Diggs, they would be stupid to not even consider a deal.

Is it possible that a trade for Diggs could get done before free agency begins on March 18? The chances seem low, but who knows what the Vikings could be currently doing behind closed doors in an effort to create more cap space.

Minnesota has made it clear that they expect Diggs to be on their roster at the start of the 2020 season. With their current needs this offseason though, it’s still hard to believe the Vikings would pass on a trade offer that could give them the ammo needed to significantly improve their chances to contend for a championship in 2020.
