Diggs’ latest social media post

Stefon Diggs sent the Vikings fanbase into a meltdown for the umpteenth time this offseason with a recent Instagram post.

His post showed the wide receiver working out in an Arizona Cardinals shirt, something that he explained was just given to his brother, Trevon, presumably during his NFL Draft evaluation process.

Someone like Diggs is not completely naïve and knew exactly what he was doing by making the video public. He might be a lot of things, but the player doesn’t appear to be stupid or aware of the consequences of his actions.

Diggs has manipulated the masses throughout the offseason with cryptic tweets that could be related to his future in Minnesota. Couple this with his public outbursts on and off the field during the 2019 season and you could be forgiven for wondering whether he still wants to be part of the Vikings roster.

The 26-year-old does not possess much leverage, given the fact he penned a five-year, $72 million deal in 2018 which does not come to an end until the end of the 2023 campaign.

Diggs might just find it amusing to see people in an uproar with what he decides to share on social media. Boredom works in mysterious ways for NFL players during the offseason and this could be a way for him to pass the time.

It does, however, display the sort of petulance and immaturity that Minnesota has come to expect from Diggs, who’s transformation into a stereotypical “diva” wide receiver now appears to be complete.
