What would the Vikings ask in a trade for Diggs?

If Stefon Diggs’ social media activity is not just smoke and mirrors, then the Vikings will need to strike quickly in order to maximize his trade value.

He is rapidly becoming a distraction that is weighing the franchise down. When a player is unhappy there is little a team can do these days to keep him.

The Vikings would undoubtedly ask for a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft with the possibility of additional picks of pieces to sweeten the deal. This could put Minnesota in a prime position to select an elite route runner like former Alabama standout Jerry Jeudy as a ready-made replacement.

If this situation transpires then it would be a sad end to Diggs’ time with the Vikings. This is a team that took a flyer on a player with plenty of questions to answer heading into the league. He has repaid them with incredible production and some memorable moments that will live on forever.

Diggs is probably aware of this given his latest Instagram post, but the Cardinals make a lot of sense as a trade partner. Acquiring the Pro Bowler would give Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray a true No.1 wideout heading into his sophomore year and it could provide Minnesota with the eighth overall selection in this year’s NFL Draft. This might be too good of an offer for the Vikings to pass up.
