What does Wilson bring to the Vikings?

Eric Wilson is a hard-working individual that brought a tremendous amount to the Vikings defense over the last two seasons.

Whether from a starting spot or as a rotational outside linebacker, Wilson has transitioned well to the rigors of NFL life and earned the respect of his teammates after coming in as an undrafted prospect.

While some areas of his game do need to improve, there is nothing to suggest Wilson cannot continue to make serious strides as he prepares to enter the prime of his career. His ability to cover receivers and tight ends needs considerable work, but he has already shown he is willing and able to be coached up.

Wilson possesses fantastic instincts that have contributed heavily to his rise from football obscurity. He has good awareness and seems to be around the ball a lot during running downs. He is also a solid tackler and he has the strength to deal with the majority of backs currently in the league.

His pass-rushing ability is also on the upward curve and there is no doubt Wilson has received a tremendous amount of support from the experienced trio of Anthony Barr, Everson Griffen, and Danielle Hunter.

Wilson’s story is a fantastic one and a great source of inspiration for any undrafted prospect in 2020 that is hoping to make it in the pros.
