Tyler Johnson (Minnesota)

Minnesota fans are craving for Tyler Johnson to land with the Vikings, and for good reason. Many of them will say he should come off the board in the first or second round, but that just simply is not the case. Most likely, the hometown product will be available at the end of the third or even into the fourth.

Despite being a mid-round selection, Johnson still brings plenty to the table. In fact, I have a second-round grade on the former Gopher. He is a route technician who can make any defensive back look foolish in space.

Johnson is also a dangerous weapon out of the slot with his ability to win over the middle and create after the catch. He wins the ball in the air and he can be a threat in the red zone or in short situations. While he is not the freakiest athlete in the world, Johnson does a little bit of everything.

Snagging a guy like Johnson in one of the middle rounds could be one of the best values in this draft. I would fully expect the Vikings to do their due diligence on him. If the opportunity presents itself, he very well could stay in Minnesota for his NFL career.
