Quintez Cephus (Wisconsin)

I found my draft crush at wide receiver and he comes from Wisconsin. Quintez Cephus was one of the most impressive surprises on tape during this pre-draft process. I have a very high grade on the former Badger, but he will likely be available much later in the draft.

Cephus is a physical wide receiver who absorbs contact and attacks the ball. He is not shy of contact across the middle and he will hang on through big hits. He is a reliable target with a strong frame out of the slot or on the outside.

The Vikings need someone who can win underneath and open some spots for Adam Thielen. Cephus is that guy in my opinion, especially if they can find him in the later rounds of the draft. He wins underneath and in the red zone despite not being a remarkable athlete down the field.

Effort will never be a problem for Cephus as far as I am concerned. He is a willing blocker in the run game and he will embrace contact over the middle without taking his eyes off the ball.

I do not necessarily believe Cephus will be the first receiver Minnesota targets in the draft. That said, I do expect them to add multiple pass-catching prospects this year, especially with extra picks at their disposal.
