Bradlee Anae (Utah)

Former Utah defensive end Bradlee Anae is another high-character individual that would be a tremendous fit with the Vikings.

The senior has three years of excellent college production under his belt. This included a phenomenal 2019 campaign that saw Anae notch 13 sacks, 41 total tackles, and a pass deflection.

Anae has propelled up draft boards during the evaluation process thanks to his strong film and impressive workout at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine. He has a good motor and he rarely comes off the field thanks to his durability.

While he needs considerable work during the initial stages of his pro development, Anae’s grit and determination are going to be enough to make plays during his rookie season. The young defensive end plays almost every down as if it is his last and this commitment will no doubt make the Vikings sit up and take notice.

There would not be too much pressure on him to produce right away thanks to the presence of Pro Bowler Danielle Hunter and the improving Ifeadi Odenigbo. That being said, Minnesota is in no position to take on developmental projects at this stage of their current window and they must be sure Anae can give them something while he is learning his craft.

His lack of mobility and length will be a concern against formidable offensive lineman at the next level. If Anae can overcome this difficulty, then someone is going to have a real player on their hands.
