Yetur Gross-Matos (Penn State)

Simply put, Yetur Gross-Matos has got it all. He is a supremely gifted athlete who has the potential to be a real star in the NFL.

The former Penn State force has every tool imaginable when you think about a pass-rusher. Gross-Matos has backed this up with performances on the field during the last two years that have seen his draft stock rise considerably.

Gross-Matos racked up 17 sacks and 34.5 tackles for loss during his final two college seasons and he has the type of burst and power that is rare.

There is so much to like about Gross-Matos’ play on the field, it is hard to know where to begin. Outside of his jaw-dropping burst, powerful hands, and polished pass-rushing moves, he is also a formidable run stuffer.

This is another element of his game that he has worked hard to improve with great success. There is little doubt Gross-Matos will be a first-round selection next month after a phenomenal showing at the NFL Scouting Combine that had teams salivating at the prospect of adding him to their rosters.

Although he does need to brush up certain areas of his game, there is nothing to suggest that Gross-Matos isn’t going to be an instant contributor at the next level. The Vikings now have two first-round selections after trading Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills and Gross-Matos should be there when they pick at slot No. 22 and he will be on the shortlist.
