While adding someone like Nickell Robey-Coleman would fill the Vikings’ current hole at slot corner, the team also needs to figure out what they’re doing with their outside corners for 2020.

With both starting corners from last season, Xavier Rhodes and Trae Waynes, no longer on their roster, Minnesota is currently looking at Mike Hughes and Holton Hill as their starters for 2020.

The Vikings are really lacking experience with their corners right now after the departure of Rhodes, Waynes, and Mackensie Alexander. If Minnesota is looking to add a solid veteran cornerback this offseason, Tramon Williams could be their guy.

At 37-years-old, signing Williams is definitely not going to break the bank. And despite his age, he’s still performing at a relatively high level.

With the Green Bay Packers last season, Williams allowed his coverage to catch just 57.9 percent of their targets and opposing passers only had a 79.3 rating when targeting the veteran corner.

He’s also spent 10 of his 13 years in the NFL in the NFC North, so he’s very familiar with the Vikings’ divisional opponents. If Williams isn’t afraid of crossing the border and putting on the purple and gold, he could be a solid addition to a young Minnesota secondary.
