Kenneth Murray – LB

The Vikings are pretty well set at linebacker. They have Anthony Barr, Eric Kendricks, and Eric Wilson as their top three heading into the 2020 season. The depth behind them is a bit questionable though with the completely average Ben Gedeon and Cameron Smith as the primary backups.

If Minnesota does take a linebacker in the 2020 NFL Draft, it probably won’t happen until late on the third day. If they are truly taking the best player available with their top choice though, they could use their selection in the first round with this tackling machine out of Oklahoma.

Kenneth Murray, as you can tell by the above pic, is an impressive looking physical specimen. He’s completely jacked, measuring in at 6-foot-2 and 242 pounds.

He is extremely fast and he can get sideline-to-sideline in a hurry. He locks in on ball carriers and closes in on them like a missile. Murray’s production in college speaks for itself. In his career as a Sooner, he racked up 176 tackles, 36.5 tackles for a loss, and 9.5 sacks.

If the Vikings are sitting at pick No. 22 and Murray is still on the board, he would be the best player available. He’d be an upgrade over Wilson and he would give Minnesota one of the best trios of linebackers in the entire NFL.
