The Minnesota Vikings now have the capital to possibly acquire CeeDee Lamb, one of the best receivers available in the 2020 NFL Draft.

One of the draft’s best prospects could now be within reach for the Minnesota Vikings after the franchise recently traded away wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Diggs ended a tenure in Minnesota littered with cryptic social media messages with a move to the Buffalo Bills. This rid the Vikings of a problem and also gave them considerable draft capital to possibly move up and secure their player of choice.

One would expect the Minnesota decision-makers to think hard about the possibility of acquiring former Oklahoma standout receiver CeeDee Lamb. He has surged up draft boards during the evaluation process and he is a big play waiting to happen.

He is a projected top-15 pick next month, so the Vikings will need to move up from pick No. 22 or 25 to secure his services. Lamb is a ready-made replacement for Diggs and he would provide Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins with another dependable target.

With pressing priorities elsewhere, the Vikings will not want to give up too much to acquire Lamb and risk their long-term future. What they do have is more pieces to work with thanks to the Diggs trade if they want to make such a move.

If Minnesota falls in love with Lamb’s skill-set, they won’t be alone. He could even be selected in the top 10 if an enamored franchise goes all in to ensure they are in a position to draft him.
