What can the Vikings expect from Holton Hill in 2020?

Can Hill secure a starting spot in 2020?
A lot will depend on the next few weeks regarding Holton Hill’s chances of securing a starting position next season. The Vikings are guaranteed to strengthen their cornerback options and the player will have to fight to make a spot his own.
It is easy to forget that Hill is still relatively inexperienced, having played in just 22 regular-season games during his first two years in the NFL. His lack of game-time last year was of his own doing, so he goes into 2020 with a tremendous amount to prove.
This might work in Hill’s favor down the line. Battling hard is something he had to do to earn a spot on the Vikings’ roster in the first place and he can use this success as a source of inspiration ahead of OTAs.
Hill has the potential to make an impact from the outset of games. He will also have the benefit of one of the best safety tandems in the league if Anthony Harris is not traded. This is a nice security blanket to have for a player like Hill who has an enormous amount to offer.
The Vikings were exposed too many times on the outside by their poor cornerback play last season. Another campaign like 2019 and it might spell the end of the current window for success in Minnesota.
Cornerback is currently the area of most concern for the Vikings. They have not made a free-agent acquisition at the position yet and this is rightfully worrying large sections of Minnesota’s fanbase.
