The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly looking to acquire the services of Trent Williams, but how can they land the stud offensive tackle?

Offensive tackle Trent Williams is looking for a way out of the Washington Redskins, and the Minnesota Vikings are reportedly interested in acquiring his services.

Reports suggest the Vikings are looking to reunite Williams with quarterback Kirk Cousins via a trade, which would be a significant upgrade to an offensive line that had its struggles last season.

Having a commanding presence like Williams on Cousins’ blindside would be a tremendous addition and one that could give Minnesota a realistic chance of making the postseason for a second consecutive year.

Players with the quality and elite production of Williams do not become available often, and they do not come cheap. Any trade would result in the Vikings giving up a lot in the form of either d picks or current roster members.

If the decision-makers in Minnesota can strike a deal that doesn’t give up the farm, then it is going to have a huge impact on the franchise. Williams is a difference-maker and pairing him with right tackle Brian O’Neill would give the Vikings arguably the best bookend tackle tandem in the NFL.

It has been a difficult offseason for the organization so far. The Vikings have lost a series of key roster members due to their salary cap difficulties. They also parted ways with troublesome wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills for a haul of picks.

Trading for Williams would give everyone a massive lift. But how can they land the perennial Pro Bowler?
