Who are five prospects that could possibly fall to the Minnesota Vikings at pick No. 22 during the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft?

Recently, the Minnesota Vikings traded disgruntled star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills. Among the haul the Vikings got in return for Diggs was the 22nd pick in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.

This pick is only three spots higher than the Vikings’ own choice at No. 25, but it could still allow them to get a top-flight prospect.

Every single year, players fall in the draft that no one expects to. Some of the more notable ones are Aaron Rodgers, who fell all the way to the 24th overall pick in 2005. Last year, Montez Sweat was considered a top-10 talent, but then he tumbled all the way to the No. 26 pick.

Even some of the players Minnesota has recently drafted have fallen down the board farther than expected. Dalvin Cook fell to the second round in 2017 and so did Eric Kendricks in 2015. Back in 2013, Shariff Floyd was supposed to be a top-five choice, but he lasted all the way until pick No. 23 when the Vikings selected him.

Players falling in the draft happens all the time and sometimes it’s their fault, other times it’s because teams choose to fill needs, and sometimes it’s because crazy rumors push prospects down the board.

Minnesota will be hoping that trend continues and a prospect drops to them who isn’t expected to be available at pick No. 22. Who are a few players from this year’s draft pool the Vikings will be hoping fall to them with their top pick in the first round?
