Andrew Thomas – OT (Georgia)

Andrew Thomas could fall to the Vikings at pick No. 22 this year and it would be through no fault of his own. This guy is the definition of a plug-and-play offensive tackle prospect.

He’s 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, and he checks every box. He’s plenty strong, he moves extremely well, and he is a finisher. Minnesota could put him at left tackle right out of the gate and either move Riley Reiff to guard or just release him.

The chances of Thomas falling to the Vikings in the first round are the highest of any prospect on this list. There are teams who do need help at offensive tackle in the draft who pick ahead of Minnesota this year, but many of these teams also have big needs in other areas.

A lot of it will depend on when the run of offensive tackles begins. If the New York Giants go with Isaiah Simmons at pick No. 4, and the Los Angeles Chargers take a quarterback at pick No. 6, that could push the start of the run to begin around pick No. 10.

Most have Thomas ranked as the fourth-best offensive tackle in this year’s draft class and that would increase the chances of him falling to the Vikings at pick No. 22. Teams like the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins could use an offensive tackle, but they could also be tempted to take one of the top receivers like Henry Ruggs III or Jerry Jeudy with their selections.

These things would probably all need to happen for Thomas to make it to Minnesota in the first round and there is a decent chance this ends up happening.
