First Round (Pick No. 25)

Noah Igbinoghene – CB (Auburn)

Corners flew off of the board in this draft. While Noah Igbinoghene is a very good prospect and worthy of being a late first/early second-round pick, Vikings fans are likely going to want guys like Jeff Gladney or Trevon Diggs to fall to them.

But Igbinoghene is a prospect Mike Zimmer would love to have on his team. He’s extremely quick and very explosive. His ability to read the quarterback and click and close on a receiver to make a play on the ball while playing through the hands of the receiver is tremendous.

He plays physical in man coverage and he can flip and turn and find the hip of the receiver to stick with his man. He’s also good at playing in a deep zone coverage, giving him the ability to read the play and make a break on the ball.

Igbinoghene is pretty scheme versatile and he should slide in nicely for Minnesota after the departure of their two top corners this offseason.
