Undeniable Talent

At just 25-years-old, Yannick Ngakoue is one of the top young pass rushers in the entire NFL. For the last four seasons, he’s been a starting defensive end for the Jaguars and he’s managed to rack up 37.5 sacks, 42 tackles for a loss, 85 quarterback hits, 14 forced fumbles, and even two interceptions.

Ngakoue has also remained very durable throughout his time in the league as he’s only missed a total of two games in four years and he’s been on the field for at least 700 of Jacksonville’s defensive snaps in each of the last four seasons.

Current Vikings co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach, Andre Patterson, is known for getting the most of his pass rushers during his time with the team. Under Patterson’s watch, guys like Everson Griffen, Danielle Hunter, and Ifeadi Odenigbo have blossomed into some of the best in the league when it comes to getting after the quarterback.

As good as Ngakoue has already been during the early portion of his career, working with Patterson could potentially take his talent to an extraordinary level. If the current Jaguars defensive end is looking to end up somewhere that could also help him reach his full potential, Minnesota is the place to go.
