How will Stefon Diggs’ time with the Vikings be remembered?

Stefon Diggs finally got his wish and is no longer part of the Minnesota Vikings. What will his lasting legacy be with the franchise?
The Minnesota Vikings parted ways with their top deep threat this offseason as Stefon Diggs was shipped to the Buffalo Bills for a hoard of draft picks.
The Vikings landed the 22nd overall selection in this year’s draft following a series of disgruntled tweets from a player who had clearly been looking for a way out for some time.
The wide receiver rose from a fifth-round pick to superstardom with Minnesota. The organization took a chance on the unproven prospect and they were rewarded with some elite production.
His time with the Vikings ended sourly after kicking up so much of a fuss on Twitter. Diggs’ petulance during the season, which stemmed from his frustrations with quarterback Kirk Cousins, was also unwelcome.
The harmony within Minnesota’s locker room might be better with Diggs’ departure. But his talent for making big plays when it mattered most will be sorely missed.
Diggs’ story can serve as an inspiration to any incoming college prospects who aren’t drafted until the later rounds. The talented receiver made the very most out of his opportunity in Minnesota and he earned more than he could have ever dreamed of when entering the NFL.
This resulted in a transformation into a stereotypical “diva” wideout. But how will Diggs be remembered by the Vikings’ fan base?
